Electrical Fault Safety Checklist
- Burning smell near fuse box or sockets? Turn off at the main switch immediately and call 07553 553 536.
- Sparks or arcing? Do not touch. Evacuate the area and call us or 999 if there is smoke or fire.
- Power cut to whole street? Call 105 (UK Power Networks) — this is a network fault, not your wiring.
- RCD keeps tripping? Unplug all appliances on the affected circuit, reset the RCD. If it trips again immediately, call us.
- Water near electrics? Turn off power at the consumer unit, do not use any switches until the area is dry and inspected.
- Gas smell + electrical fault? Leave the building, do not use switches. Call 0800 111 999 first, then call us from outside.
